The “Presidents’ Classic” line draws inspiration from Vulcain’s historic association with U.S. presidents — most notably the Vulcain Cricket, a mechanical alarm watch first gifted to President Harry S. Truman in 1953 by the White House Press Photographers Association.

Following this, the Cricket became closely associated with the White House and was worn by several U.S. presidents, including Dwight D. Eisenhower and Lyndon B. Johnson, earning Vulcain its well-known nickname: “The Watch for Presidents.”

This model carries that legacy forward with a clean, mid-century inspired design and a modern automatic movement, blending classic styling with the heritage Vulcain is known for.

Powered by the Vulcain automatic caliber V-56, featuring 25 jewels, a sweep seconds hand, and a date display at 6 o’clock. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers an approximate power reserve of 42 hours.

The elegant sunburst gray dial is accented by applied Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 9, with stick hour markers, a precise minute track, and matching silver-tone hands. The layout is clean, balanced, and highly legible.

Housed in a 42mm stainless steel case with sapphire crystal and an exhibition caseback, allowing a view of the movement. It is paired with its original black Vulcain leather strap.
