Wittnauer is an American watch brand founded in 1880 by a Swiss immigrant, Alber Wittnauer. "That means that while these watches were marketed toward Americans, they incorporated elements of Swiss watch design."

This is a classic timepiece! a vintage Wittnauer mechanical wristwatch from the 1950s.  It features a manual-wind movement, powered by the original Wittnauer  INC Watch Co. caliber Revue 79, 17 jewels, a sub second hand, unadjusted and Swiss made.   

Cased in a stylish 24.8x27.6mm rectangular case with fancy lugs design, all in 10K yellow gold filled. 

The champagne dial shows a charming patina and age that perfectly complements the gold Arabic numerals, a black minute track, and matching gold hands. The small second hand is located at 6 o'clock position and the dial is signed with the Wittnauer name at the top and Revue on the bottom. 

Complementing its classic design, the watch comes with a gold-tone stainless steel bracelet.  

After over 70 years, it is still in good condition, keeping excellent time and running smoothly.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that. 

The condition is pre-owned.  
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
