Wittnauer is an American watch brand founded in 1880 by a Swiss immigrant, Alber Wittnauer. "That means that while these watches were marketed toward Americans, they incorporated elements of Swiss watch design."

This is a super nice timepiece! a vintage Wittnauer automatic wristwatch from the 1960s.  It is a self-winding watch featuring an automatic movement with sweep-second hand and Swiss made. 

Cased in a stylish 33.3mm round case with fancy lug design, all in stainless steel. Original signed crown. 

The watch boasts a stunning silver textured dial, embellished with elegant silver hour markers and matching hands. The dial is elegantly signed with the Wittnauer logo at the top and "automatic" at the bottom. 

Complementing its design, the watch comes with a red leather two-piece strap. It is also coming with an original Wittnauer double box.

After over 60 years, it remains in very good condition, keeping excellent time and running smoothly!

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.  

The condition is pre-owned.   
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
