Wittnauer is an American watch brand founded in 1880 by a Swiss immigrant, Alber Wittnauer. "That means that while these watches were marketed toward Americans, they incorporated elements of Swiss watch design."

This is a nice timepiece, a vintage Wittnauer automatic wristwatch and dated from the 1970s. 

It is a self-winding watch powered by an original Wittnauer INC Watch Co. movement caliber D11KAS-1 (base Longines 503), 17 jewels, sweep-second hand, unadjusted, day/date, 44hour power reserve, 19,800A/h, Swiss made. 

Cased in a very good-looking 35mm round case, stainless steel case, 10K yellow gold cap with a coin edge fixed bezel. 

Original champagne dial (showing some age and patina, but making a very nice design on the dial) gold/black hour marks, luminous hour accents and luminous gold matching hands. The day-date window is located at 3 o'clock position. Also, the dial is signed with the Wittnauer Geneve on top and Automatic on the bottom.

It comes with a brand new black genuine leather two-piece. 

After +50 years, it is still in very good condition, keeps good time and runs very well!

This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that. 

The condition is pre-owned. 
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
