Founded in 1956 in Zürich, Switzerland by Albert J. Wajs and Joseph Ollech, Ollech & Wajs initially operated as a watch and bracelet retailer before launching its own range of tool watches.

The brand became known for robust dive and military style watches during the 1960s, supplying models to American servicemen and active professionals. Its reputation for durability and precision earned it a niche among enthusiasts of military and exploration timepieces.

After the quartz crisis of the 1970s and 1980s, Ollech & Wajs scaled back production. In 2017 a new generation revived the brand, staying true to its heritage of rugged mechanical sports watches, while introducing contemporary collections built on the brand’s original DNA.
