Offered here today is a collectible timepiece: a vintage NOS (New Old Stock) Glycine Compressor automatic wristwatch, dating from the 1970s.

This self-winding watch is powered by a Swiss automatic movement and features a sweep seconds hand and a date display with quick-set function.

The “Compressor” designation refers to a case construction concept used during the period in which water pressure helps tighten the caseback gasket, improving water resistance as depth increases.

It has the original sunburst black dial accented by applied baton hour markers, a white printed minute/second track, and matching hands. The date display is positioned at the 3 o’clock position.

This example remains in New Old Stock condition, it is housed in a 37mm cushion stainless steel case and it comes with a brand-new black two-piece leather strap.

Fully inspected and authenticated, the watch is running well and is ready to wear and enjoy.
