Airvac 6000 Scratch Field
Wristwatch
ALL Stainless Steel - Original Bracelet
We’re excited to present this fascinating vintage timepiece: the LANCO Airvac 6000 Scratch Field automatic wristwatch, dating back to the 1970s.
This Swiss-made watch features a self-winding automatic movement with a sweep-second hand and a date display.
Housed in a 41mm tonneau-shaped stainless-steel case coated with sintered tungsten carbide—an ultra-hard material—the case is highly resistant to scratches and wear, preserving its polished finish even after decades. The case back is embossed with an image of a watch under a glass dome, symbolizing the vacuum chamber, and it retains its original signed crown.
The LANCO AIRVAC 6000 is equipped with a unique vacuum-sealed case, designed to eliminate internal air. This reduces air resistance on the balance wheel, enhancing timekeeping accuracy and reducing mechanical wear. With no oxygen, lubrication lasts longer, resulting in improved performance and extended lifespan of the movement.
The original silver dial features silver hour markers accented with luminous dots and matching luminous silver hands. A baby-blue central second hand adds a subtle pop of color, while the date window sits at 3 o’clock. The dial is signed with the LANCO logo at the top and marked “Airvac 6000 Scratch Field” at the bottom.
This timepiece comes with its original stainless steel LANCO bracelet, sized to fit wrists up to 7¼ inches (18.4 cm).
After more than 55 years, this watch remains in excellent condition, running accurately and functioning smoothly.

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have concerning size.
We prefer to take photographs outdoors when the weather allows. However, when shooting indoors, please note that we use lightboxes equipped with 360 LED bulbs, which can magnify any flaws that may be less noticeable to the naked eye. That said, we never use Photoshop to alter our images or remove blemishes. While we may adjust the lighting as needed, what you see is what you get, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may show some signs of cosmetic wear, but it is fully operational, and functions as intended.
Please take a moment to review the photos, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
The item will be carefully packed for shipment.
