This is a super cool timepiece, a vintage Elgin Automatic wristwatch, dating from the 1970's.

 

It features a self-winding movement powered by the original Elgin automatic movement caliber grade 334 (based on AS 1916), with 17 jewels, a sweep second hand, and a day/date indicator with quick-set date feature by pushing in the crown towards the case. This movement offers a 44-hour power reserve, a frequency of 21,600 vph. Swiss made.

 

It is housed in a 34mm cushion case with classic lug design, all in stainless steel.

 

Original brushed silver dial with black outer track, silver baton indices, white/black minute hash track, and luminous matching silver hands. It has luminous dots at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock. The day/date window is located at 3 o'clock position. The dial is also signed with the ELGIN name/logo at top and Automatic at the bottom.

 

It is fitted with a silver-tone mesh design two-piece strap.

 

After more than 55 years, this wristwatch runs very well and keeps accurate time!
