Tracing its origins to La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland when in 1881, Achilles Ditesheim, a 19-year-old entrepreneur, hired six watchmakers and opened a small workshop in the village of La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 1905, Ditesheim renamed his young company Movado – a word meaning “always in motion” or “movement” in the artificial, international language of Esperanto.

We are presenting this vintage Movado Sub-Sea mechanical wristwatch, model reference 13003 from the 1960s.  

It is a manual-wind watch with an original Movado movement caliber 347, 17 jewels, unadjusted, with a 49-hour power reserve and operating at 18,000 A/h, Swiss made.

The original silver sunburst dial feature silver hour markers, luminous dots, a minute/second track, and matching luminous silver hands. Also, the dial is signed with the Movado name/logo on top.  
 
Cased in a 33.4mm round stainless-steel case with classic lugs, the case back is marked "Sub-Sea," indicating its water-resistant design. 
 
It comes on a black rubber textured two-piece strap.

This wristwatch is still in very good condition, keeps good time and runs very well.

This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.  

The condition is pre-owned.   
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
