Hamilton 1939 Medwick Watch 17 Jewels Grade 987A U.S.A. Made

This stunning timepiece is a Hamilton Medwick wristwatch dated from 1939. It is a manual wind watch, 17 jewels movement, caliber grade 987A, sub second, U.S.A. made. After +80 years, it still has an immaculate and very UNIQUE rectangle case and solid tubular lugs lugs design, all in 10K natural gold filled. It has the original silver dial with gold Arabic Numerals and hands, the dial is indicated by the dial code under the seconds register. It is coming with a vintage Speidel flex bracelet in 10K yellow gold filled top. The crystal is NEW!

This watch is in LOVELY condition, it is a very attractive looking watch! Runs very well and keeps great time!

In 1937, Hamilton dramatically refined their 6/0 movement, a new era in 6/0 models. The 987A was a dramatic improvement over the 987E. Bridge layout and many parts redesigned, "the first three 987 variants share virtually all of the same parts and you can swap parts from one grade to the other. However, the 987A is significantly different. It shares some of the same parts - mostly the gear train and the balance staff - but that's about it."

This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust light, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
