Inspired by the 1948 Bulova President style, comfortable and classy, the new Sutton Automatic from Bulova introduces a fresh new shape to this classic watch.

 

From the Bulova men's classic collection and inspired by vintage design, this is the Bulova Sutton Classic Automatic wristwatch, model 96A269 and released in July 2021.

 

This is a 3-hand self-winding watch powered by an automatic movement caliber 82S0 which features sweep-second hand, 21 jewels, 21,600 bph, hack mechanism and 42-hour power reserve. 

 

Miyota (Citizen) claims that the caliber 82S0 offers accuracy of -20 to +40 seconds per day. This is measured within 10-60 minutes from a full wind via the crown. To fully wind the movement, turn the crown 40 times. The winding direction of the rotor is counterclockwise.

 

Powered by the release of a wound spring, mechanical movements never require a battery. Automatic mechanical movements have an oscillating weight that winds the spring with the motion of the wearer’s arm.

Black textured dial with silver-tone accents (Arabic Numerals), white minute/second track with a subtle texture and open aperture (skeletonized at 7 o’clock position) to view the balance wheel of the movement.

 

Cased in a 33x40mm tank (rectangular) all stainless-steel case and curved mineral crystal. The case back features a mineral crystal exhibition window (display back), to showcase the automatic movement powering this luxury watch. The crown is signed with the Bulova Accutron logo. 30M water resistant.

 

The case is paired with a rich black alligator-grain leather strap with a E-133 dress strap buckle

for an elegant statement. For anyone seeking a classic timepiece with a distinct personality, this is a piece that can’t be overlooked.
