History & Legacy of Bremont

Bremont was founded in 2002 by brothers Nick and Giles English with a mission to create finely engineered pilot watches that can endure extreme conditions. Inspired by their love of vintage aircraft, mechanics, and precision timekeeping, Bremont watches are built for durability and performance. In 2021, the company moved into its purpose-built “Manufacturing & Technology Centre,” enabling increased in‑house production. All watches in Bremont’s core collection are either COSC or ISO chronometer rated, and each is hand‑assembled in the U.K. in limited numbers.

The name “Bremont” traces back to a forced landing in France during a flight in the late 1990s, when the brothers were hosted by a French farmer and engineer named Antoine Bremont. The warmth, engineering artifacts, and clockwork in his home left a strong impression, and the brothers adopted his name as a tribute. Today, Bremont continues to champion British watchmaking, bringing design, manufacture, and assembly back to England, with its facility known as “The Wing” serving as a full, end‑to‑end production campus.
