This 1964 Bulova Accutron Spaceview is a classic example of mid-20th-century innovation and one of the most recognizable electronic watches ever made. Introduced in the early 1960s, the Accutron was the world’s first fully electronic wristwatch and quickly became known for its exceptional accuracy.

What sets the Spaceview apart is its open dial design, which reveals the movement instead of hiding it. Originally created as a display model to showcase Bulova’s groundbreaking technology, the exposed tuning fork, copper coils, and electronic components captured so much attention that the Spaceview became an icon in its own right.

It is powered by Bulova’s Accutron caliber 214, regulated by a 360 Hz tuning fork rather than a traditional balance wheel. This unique system gives the seconds hand its smooth, continuous sweep and produces the characteristic soft hum that Accutron watches are famous for.
