Watch Overview

Offered here today is an interesting and very collectible timepiece: a vintage WWII Omega U.S. Army mechanical wristwatch, reference 2384-1, dated to 1944 based on the movement serial number. The caseback still shows a visible “U.S. Army” engraving,indicating its historical military association.

It is a manual-wind watch powered by the original Omega Watch Co. mechanical movement, caliber Omega 30T2 SC, featuring 16 jewels with a sweep seconds hand and made in Switzerland. It operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour and offers an approximate power reserve of 44 hours.

The watch retains its beige dial, which has developed an attractive vintage patina over time. It is accented by Arabic numerals, a black minute/seconds track, and matching hands with a blued steel sweep seconds hand.

It is housed in a 35mm round stainless steel case with classic lug design. The watch is fitted with a brown leather two-piece strap. Fully inspected and authenticated, it remains in very good vintage condition consistent with age and use, and is ready to wear and enjoy.
