Watch Overview

This is a beautifully preserved vintage Hamilton pocket watch, a Private Label timepiece signed “J. A. Peterson, Jeweler” dating to circa 1910.

It features a white enamel dial with large bold black Arabic numerals that are individually framed within soft blue cartouches. Surrounding the dial is a classic railroad-style minute track with small star accents, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. It has an elegant ornate gilt hands in a classic filigree (Louis XV-style) design.

It is an open-face manual-wind pocket watch powered by the original Hamilton Watch Co. mechanical movement, Grade 927, featuring 17 jewels, size 18s, Model 2, class 3, a lever-set mechanism, adjusted to temperature for precision timekeeping and made in the U.S.A.

The watch is housed in a 54mm round case with polished finish, paired with a classic bow and crown — a typical design for the era. The crown is located at 3 o'clock.

Presented in working condition with a clean movement and well-preserved dial, this piece represents an excellent collectible example of early American horology.
